Folegandros, how to reach the island
Folegandros is a main stop on the ferry line Piraeus - Milos - Santorini, and it has frequent ferries or catamaran to Paros, Mykonos, Ios and the near Sikinos. Consider also flying directly to Santorini and taking a ferry from there or fly to Milos, one hour away by fast ferries. Summer timetables are available in late May.

Folegandros rent a car, moto or a quad
At Folegandros you can rent a car, moto, scooter or a quad. Renters are in the Chora, Kavostasis and Ano Merià.
Folegandros bus and inland transportation
The bus is the main transportation means of Folegandros, to take you either to the port or to the various unpaved roads that lead to the beaches. In addition, to reach the various beaches several “bus” boats depart daily form the port of Karavostasis.
Folegandros, where to eat
Many are the restaurants where you can enjoy local traditional plates. Genuine local cheese, many plates with pasta of all names, some specialties like the Matsada (pasta with rooster). There are old and new restaurants and taverns. At Karavostasi you can enjoy a dinner or a drink overlooking the port.
Banks and credit cards in Folegandros
Remember, no banks at Folegandros. You may use the two cash machine (ATM - Bancomat), and change travelers’ checks at the post office. Not all hotels, restaurants or shops accept credit cards. Better, have enough cash for your vacation.
